Who We Are

We are a group of high school students working with schools in underprivileged communities to offer free tutoring for students who need academic reinforcement. It all started with six ambitious students, and is now made up of over 140 dedicated public advocates. Our main goal is to not only educate, but to also create meaningful relationships between elementary school students and high school volunteers.

Mission Statement

Our mission at Education for Success is to use education to create a pathway to success by reinforcing fundamental academic skills among those eager for an educational opportunity, in a safe, comfortable social environment.

Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast of the Semantics, a large language ocean.

Meet the some of the driving forces behind this organization.

This past year, we partnered with Connect One Bank in Princeton as part of their Affinity Donations Program. Granting us over $4000 to support our cause, we’re continuing to work closely with them to expand our outreach programs and reach out to more volunteers and schools that need aid.

Most notably, we collaborated with Connect One, the Trenton Thunder Stadium, and the Mayor of Trenton to fully subsidize over 100 tickets for Parker Elementary School students to attend the Trenton Thunder vs. Portland Seadogs baseball game on May 23rd, 2019. Our partnership with Connect One is a reflection of our relationship with Parker Elementary School, which has grown immensely over the past two years. We are glad to have given elementary school students the opportunity to enjoy and be with their classmates and friends at this social sporting event.

Current Locations

WWP High School South

With a chapter of Education for Success established at High School South, we have now been volunteering at Parker Elementary School in Trenton for an entire year. We go every Wednesday after school to work with the younger kids, immersing them in an academically engaging and exciting atmosphere.

We will continue to volunteer at Parker Elementary throughout this coming year, lending a helping hand to an incredibly motivated set of students.

Peddie High School

By the start of the 2018-19 school year, we were able to create a second chapter of Education for Success at the Peddie School. Volunteers from Peddie under the umbrella of our organization now travel weekly to Grace Rogers Elementary School in Hightstown to mentor the students there.

Princeton Senior Resource Center

Education for Success is proud to run a series of technology workshops weekly over the summer for senior citizens from across central New Jersey at the Princeton Senior Resource Center. Having high school volunteers educate these seniors on how to use things like Gmail and Uber has been wonderful, but perhaps even more important are the relationships that have been formed between volunteers and senior citizens.
